The Burgseye table was designed for an article in the SHED magazine (add link when published) in which the laminating technique was explained with a simple project. The design was inspired by the constraints of the design brief, simple and easy to make, with a wish to make the design elegant and feminine. The tables are made from Ash, Oak and Walnut, with a turned top scalloped on the bottom to make them light and easy to pick up. The leg is reversible, providing two different designs from the same component. The legs are joined using a housing joint with a contrasting timber in the centre to emphasise the sinuous line of the legs.
